<h1 class="firstHeading">London Device Conversion</h1>

<p id="siteSub">London Device Conversion can be accessed
via the Tools Menu. &#160;This will allow you to convert
any existing Soundweb London device into any other Soundweb
London device including the conversion of <a href="BLU-8&#32;Programming&#32;and&#32;Operation.html">BLU-8</a>
to <a href="BLU-8_V2_Programming_and_Operation.htm">BLU-8v2</a>
although it is not possible to covert back from a BLU-8v2
to a BLU-8. The design in the original device will be
maintained with a few exceptions which are outlined below.</p>
<p>When you convert a device you will be presented with
the following dialog.</p>

<p>This lists all the Soundweb London devices in your design.
&#160;Click a device to select form the list the device
type you wish to convert to.</p>
<p><span class="hcp2">NOTE</span>: In order
for the conversion process to be completed the design
file must be <span class="hcp2">SAVED</span>,
<span class="hcp2">CLOSED</span> and then
<span class="hcp2">RE-OPENED</span>.</p>
<p>When you reopen the file you will be prompted to convert
with the following dialog.</p>

<p>At this point you can choose to convert the devices
or keep them as they originally were. &#160;The design
file can be saved after the devices have been converted.</p>
<p>The following lists the instances where a converted
device does not convert exactly:</p>
<ul type="disc">
<li class="p"><p>Any <a href="BLU-800.html">BLU-800</a>
series devices with <a href="AEC_Cards.htm">AEC</a>
or <a href="Telephone_Hybrid_Cards.htm">Telephone
hybrid</a> cards fitted will have those cards changed
to Analogue input cards when converted to any BLU-80
series device</p></li>
<li class="p"><p>Any device running at 96kHz cannot
be converted into a device which does not operate
at that frequency i.e. <a href="BLU-100.htm">BLU-100</a>,
<a href="BLU-101_Fixed_card_configuration_with_BLU_link.htm">BLU-101</a>and
<a href="BLU-102_Fixed_card_configuration_with_BLU_link.htm">BLU-102</a>.</p></li>
<li class="p"><p>Any device with processing objects
cannot convert to a <a href="BLU-32.html">BLU-32</a>,
<a href="BLU-320.html">BLU-320</a> or <a href="BLU-120.html">BLU-120</a>.</p></li>
<li class="p"><p>If a device such as the BLU-101 and
BLU-102 has AEC processing objects in it, those objects
will be deleted when converting to non BLU-101 or
BLU-102 devices.</p></li>
<li class="p"><p>If a BLU-101 has 3 AEC processing
objects in it there will only be 2 if converted to
a BLU-102.</p></li>
<li class="p"><p>When converting a BLU-102 the Telephone
Hybrid card will only remain for BLU-800 series devices.</p></li>
<li class="p"><p>A BLU-80 can be converted to a BLU-800
which will have one BLU link input and one BLU link
output as default.</p></li>
<li class="p"><p>A BLU-16 can be converted to be a
BLU-160 with one BLU link input and one BLU link output
as default.</p></li>
<li class="p"><p>A BLU-32 can be converted to a BLU-320
which will have two BLU link inputs and two BLU link
outputs as default but no further BLU link inputs
or outputs can be added to this device</p></li>
<li class="p"><p>When converting from a BLU link device
to a non BLU link device the BLU link inputs and outputs
will be deleted.</p></li>
